Snap Singles – Edric, Spymaster of Trest

I had the pleasure of taking part in a couple of drafts during the weekend the Magic: The Gathering (MtGO) Cube debut. It was some of the most fun I’ve had on MtGO, only surpassed by getting to play the cube run by @wmap and @griffnvalentine. It was an amazing thing to behold. Tons of people descended on the Cube with a fervor I haven’t seen, keeping three separate queues firing nearly continously for an entire weekend. Read the rest of this entry »

Cube Update – Dark Ascension – Multicolor and Colorless

Dark Ascension brings a good number of multicolored cards to the table that are worth including in a cube. In fact, nearly every one of the multicolor mythic cards in Dark Ascension are getting a run at my cube. The only one I am not trying out yet is Falkenrath Aristocrat. This is a great card, but Olivia Voldaren sits at the same converted mana cost. I suppose I could eliminate Shambling Remains to make room for it. This might be a good idea, but I wasn’t entirely sure I should include the Aristocrat yet. Read the rest of this entry »
